Wednesday, 23rd April: St George’s Ball
This year New York honors Sir Deryk Maughan at the annual St
George Society Ball at the Pierre Hotel. Tickets available from

April 29th 2003: British Memorial Garden
Celebration to announce the future British Memorial Garden in
the presence of Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal, at India
House, One Hanover Square, New York.
The British and American communities in New York are being drawn
together in an effort to establish a British Memorial Garden
at Hanover Square, historic home of India House and the first
Cotton Exchange. The Garden will be a gift to the people of
New York, a place for the community to enjoy and experience
the historic friendship linking the two nations and a place
for the British Community to hold annual Remembrance Day observances
and reflect upon recent events and shared tragedies.
