Mariel Hemingway, Academy award nominee, author, and Ernst Hemingways granddaughter. The tall, striking granddaughter of celebrated writer Ernest Hemingway, this actress' performance as Woody Allen's high school-age girlfriend in "Manhattan" earned her an Oscar nomination (she was only seventeen at the time, when she was nominated for an Oscar). Mariel Hemingway grew up Ketchum, Idaho with her father, Jack, and grandfather, Ernst Hemingway (also buried in Ketchum). Mariel Hemingway was named after a Cuban fishing village Mariel, Cuba, where her grandfather, Ernst, visited regularly as a sportsmen. Early reservation recommended:
