FACING U.K. ARCHITECTS IN THE U.S.
Fletcher Priest Architects
Middlesex House, 34/42 Cleveland Street, London W1T 4JE
Jonathan Wimpenny and Cynthia Fischer will speak about the opportunities available
and the practical issues facing UK architects who wish to practice or participate on

and experience, whether you are starting out, a sole practitioner or a principal in a larger
firm.

relationships and expectations, and the roles of the AIA and RIBA–USA.
Cynthia Fischer will discuss issues of particular interest to foreign professionals,
including State licensing requirements, visas, the multiplicity and diversity of State laws
regulating entities providing professional services, putting together a U.S. team, client
expectations, and concerns such as insurance, litigation, and basic tax issues from a
U.S. point of view.
