72 Guests attended the launch of the New England Chapter held at the British Consulate's in Cambridge on May 8th, 2003. The speaker was Gordon Sainsbury AIA RIBA, Executive Director of the Design Selection Board of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.



Opening speech was by HM Consul-General George Ferguson (left) pictured here with Geoff Plant, Deputy Consul-General; Stephen Stenson and Debbie Bentley, Chapters Co-Chairs. Invaluable assistance was provided by Consul staff, John Shipala Vice Consul,Trade and Joanna Manwell, Assistant Trade Officer.


Main Speaker was Massachusetts' Designer Selection Board Executive Director Gordon Sainsbury (left) pictured here with Chapter Co-Chairs Stephen Stenson and Debbie Bentley; and RIBA-USA Treasurer Mohamad Farzan.


Graphics and power point presentation was designed and completed by Catherine Davis (second left) and Dan Muntean (third left)


Guests enjoyed the remainder of the evening (catering provided by Bakers Best). Marcus Springer (responsible for the program) pictured in the foreground (left).


Music was provided by Karen Daly of Salve Regina University.


Guests travelled from all over New England including Rhode Island and Vermont.
